Meet Caprice

Caprice Stapleton – Yard Manager & Head Coach

Caprice brings a wealth of equine knowledge, leadership, and warmth to the Pony Centre. With a BA (Hons) in Equine Studies and BHS Stage 2 qualifications, she’s taught riders of all ages at respected schools like The Spanish Bit and Snowball Farm.

“I’ve had a passion for horses for as long as I can remember — it all started with tears on a holiday in Greece every time I was taken off the horse my mum was trying to ride! That early spark only grew, thanks to my supportive parents, and before long I was working in the industry. One of my most cherished roles was at the RDA National Training Centre, where I witnessed the magic the RDA creates for riders — an experience that deepened my passion for working with people with special educational needs or from disadvantaged backgrounds.

While working at the NTC, I also met my gorgeous boy Darcy — a beautiful 15hh, 17-year-old cob who is now happily installed at WSPC. We’ve done just about everything together, including winning a championship the very first time we competed as a pair!

Darcy and I are both looking forward to meeting you all soon.”

Darcy came to WSPC in April and will be a working member of the herd by September.
